Betrayal: Dracon Part One George Myers

Thomas Reid never believed in the existence of space aliens, magic, or Dragons. As a matter of fact, he thought that anyone that said they believed in those things was living in a world of fantasy. However, all of the things that he was raised to believe were proven wrong when he was abducted. Not only was his belief about magic proven wrong, he found that he was adept in its performance. Because of his aptitude for it, He was put on the fast track for the completion of his magic training. He was so good in fact, that some of the beings that he should have been able to trust with his life, began conspiring against him. When he completed his magic training in record time, they became angry. After Shar Santha, the adolescent daughter of a feral Dragon Chieftain, chose him they became angrier. As soon as he was chosen once again by twin hatchlings at a historic Dragon hatching, they became desperate. They tried to convince the Draconaa Council to assign him to a distant outpost station, but to no avail. When the council didn't agree to reassign him, the conspirators betrayed him. With their betrayal though, they unwittingly sent the most powerful Dracon to complete the Draconaa training, into the midst of a war that would decide the fate of the Galaxy.
