Love Devious tells a remarkable story of a young boy, Edgar, who loses his parents in a terrible natural disaster, but, his little sister, Lisa, is saved. Destiny draws a line in front of them and puts them on the path to a new life away from their destroyed village. They follow it wherever it goes and, as they do that, they encounter new people and places along the way.

At the very beginning of their journey, Edgar faces another mischance, Lisa vanishes. Sick with worry, Edgar searches for her but does not find her. He finds himself on the doorstep of Mr. White's store and he takes Edgar in and gives him a job. The Whites become a second family to Edgar. As he builds a new life and makes new friends, he never forgets the sister whom he longs to find.
