Since a number of different nationalities are involved in this story, it would be wise to read. This novel could happen in one part of the world only. When I first looked into the manuscript for Yoash I was amazed at the scope and depth of the plot interwoven with the rich tapestry of events in the World War I era in the Middle East, the time of Lawrence of Arabia. Farajolah Sayachi, an Iranian writer of Hebrew heritage living in the US, has populated this world with memorable characters from a vast tableau - India to Arabia, Turkey, and Persia to Britain in its imperial glory. While about 20 of our books have been optioned for film and three have provided stories for feature films, Yoash stands apart. I am sure you will be delighted to read this book. Vid Beldavs ******The foundation of this story is an unimaginable and unheard of event - a rare phenomenon in the world of storytelling. This screenplay details a monumental event that impacted other regions. The events of this story have never been told or heard about. Although this screenplay is fiction, it does not include events and points that are far fetched. It is a reflection of deepest facts that have existed from ancient times up to the beginning of the twentieth century, most of which have never been recorded by history. The author, in expressing his thoughts and his vast imagination, has depicted details about one of the most difficult and grueling professions in the world. These are facts about the lives of hard working individuals who, utilizing the most primitive tools and welcoming all kinds of suffering and danger used to dive into the depths of the sea to earn a living.
