In 1971 I began reading the Book of Philippians. I read it every night for about two years. As you can imagine, we became familiar friends. I was newly divorced, new to the secular business world (after eighteen years of ministerial life), raising two sons as a single parent, and burdened with debt. I had a small rented home and large payments on an old Barracuda. During some very difficult years I learned the resources found in the Book of Philippians. Today, as I see divorce on the rise (both in the secular world and the church) and people who are hurting, I want to share the resources I have found in God's Word.
