Daniel Westboro is a boy that plays for the LeHigh County Rangers, a baseball team in the middle of nowhere in North Texas. To escape a life of ranching, and his abusive father, Daniel Westboro depends on his pitching, most specifically a trademark curveball that makes him one of the most elite pitchers in the game. However, Daniel's girlfriend, June Winters, dies and foul play is suspected. With an abusive father trying to put him in jail, a shrouded mind when it comes to his own involvement in the death of June, and a bright baseball career ahead of him, Daniel must discover who he truly is and deal with all the curveballs life seems to throw at him.
