Drawing Happy! Jenny Guarino

Drawing Happy! is a book of iPad drawings by artist Jenny Guarino. It was created as part of a successfully funded Kickstarter Project, where backers gave their idea of happy to be drawn daily for the 31 days of August. Some backers submitted a word, others a sentence, a few added photographs and a couple even sent movies. Each day was a new adventure as Jenny interpreted their idea of happy into a drawing. Love, Family, Sunshine, Sunset come up repeatedly in the sentences. Themes of contact with people we know - family and friends, and exploring and appreciating the world around us, which includes animals, nature, and the things we produce, makes us happy. This book connects the artist to the backers through an interpretation of their happy words and ideas into images, and reminds us to consider what in our life makes us happy.
