Eyes Wide Open: Confessions of a King is a chronicle of my life's journey that began of my own volition as broken and confused, until rescued and dependent upon a life which I now live in Christ, healed and cognizant of purpose. The transition began with unchallenged thoughts that delivered temporary defeat, but through God's grace and a renewed mind, I have an elevated level of good conscience and sincere faith that continually leads to perpetual victory.

One thing that I found to be helpful in my pursuit of greater is that you cannot stop believing because pain is present, for many are the afflictions of the righteous but God delivers him out of them all (Ps 34:19, KJV). There are things (blessings, favor, grace) that God has ordained for the different seasons in your life. Everything given from God has a commitment attached to it, meaning that they have His backing, promise, and victory established for those who faithfully trust and seek Him.

Being king and having kingdom authority is not to be look upon as overseeing without restraints and understanding. It is a position of humility yet strength, yielding one's own authority to God's, and desiring of obedience based on a self-giving perspective which seeks wisdom when leading and dealing with others.

He changes times and seasons; He deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. (Daniel 2:21, NIV)
