... During Rev. Sheila Weldon's 28 years in the ministry she has been the Pastor of two Religious Science churches and is presently Co-Ministering the Idyllwild Center for Spiritual Living. She retired from the pulpit of the Religious Science Church of Las Vegas in 2003 returning to Palm Desert CA where she founded Shadow Hills Church of Religious Science. During her 10 years in the Las Vegas she served for two years as a member of the Board of Directors of Religious Science International. Prior to entering the ministry in 1990 she had been in the escrow business for 18 years As the owner of Peninsula Escrow Co. in Torrance in the 1970's she was active in the Southwest Escrow Association, serving on the Board in several capacities including a term as President. She moved to the desert in 1979 to manage one of her companies' four branch offices which was located in Palm Desert. She then opened Sheila's Palm Desert Fashions on El Paseo and at the same time continued to care for her many real estate investments. Her next entrepreneurial venture was in the Hospitality industry. She was the owner of Atipahato Lodge in Idyllwild, a beautiful 16 unit hotel with 2 cabins on five acres, and the owner/manager of the Mojave Resort in Palm Desert, a 24 unit boutique hotel which is host to many beautiful weddings each year. She has been married to her husband Tony for 31 years, is the proud mother of four children, grandmother of ten grandchildren, and great grandmother of ten great grandchildren.
