The intent is no longer to be revolutionary or even to be good. Is it to be honest in a way that will mean something to someone no matter who reads what pieces. A collection of poems written over the course of 4 years chronicling the authors university writing. WD Ballner is a queer, trans, mentally ill poet who has developed themes related to their identity using flowers and mythology. "Hyacinthus Hurricane" is an examination of queer love, trauma, religion, illness, and identity from the perspective of a college student in desperate need of a hug and another cup of coffee.
