'Flourish!' is for the multitude of ordinary people who find life an uphill struggle while the world around them seems to sail on by.
It is also for carers, volunteers and professionals trying to identify the best use of scarce resources in the field of physical, mental, social and spiritual health.
'Flourish!' is the story of real people isolated from mainstream society by addiction, mental health conditions, injuries, illness, lifelong disabilities or learning difficulties, regarded by society as incapable of contribution or change - until they became part of the remarkable Flourish project.
Creating a garden out of a strip of farmland with an intriguing history, a thriving community of people with diverse abilities and individual characters began to emerge. And thrive. And grow. And benefit their own communities and families.
In the context of today's urgent agenda to improve mental health and wellbeing, these moving personal stories highlight the importance of not just rebuilding individual lives but on integrating people into real and sustainable community.
