Hopefully, you can minimize or avoid any potential pitfalls. I'm very conscious of first time visitors having a bad experience the first time around, and as a result, never coming back, which would be a real shame. The Philippines is a fantastic country that offers so much to experience and enjoy if you can manage to overcome the "mental" hurdles.
