Freed from prison after spending four years there for a crime he didn't commit, David Lincoln decides to leave Boston and head west for a new life. While in Independence, Missouri, he saves the virtue of a young woman who employs him as a bodyguard but they soon develop feelings for each other. Frieda Worth wants to fulfill her dream of building a girls' school in the West and on her way to New Haven, runs into some trouble. When David saves her, she finds herself falling in love with him. But trouble comes calling and their love is threatened but then love conquers all in the end.
