Let's Sing Minni K Ang

I wrote the songs contained in this book over a period of many years, between 1984 and 2011, and they are a sort of pilgrim's progress record of my lived Christian experience at the time. While every single melody and harmony are mine alone, I have had the privilege of working together with other lyricists over the years, who are duly credited on the appropriate pages. The songs are listed here in chronological order, with an alphabetical index available at the end of the book. About half of these songs were sung extensively at Scripture Union Malaysia youth camps between 1989 and 1992, during which time I was an S. U. staff worker and in charge of organizing nationwide music camps. I have chosen to publish this collection of songs mostly as lead sheets, with the exception of the few I happen to have already published with fully written out piano accompaniment parts. The reason I chose lead sheets, instead of any other format, is because I personally find it most convenient when playing and singing at the same time - it minimizes, or even obliterates, inconvenient page turning. It does of course assume that the musician knows how to improvise their own accompaniment based on the chord symbols, but most church musicians can do this easily.
