This picture book tale merges descriptions of two actual passenger steam train trips from two diaries south from Chicago IL to Florida in the early 1900s. The first comes from the diary of a young bride on her honeymoon on one of the first passenger trains to Key West by way of Miami. The second from the diary of a young girl and her Mother and her two siblings by way of Jacksonville to Daytona Beach. The narrated by the young girl described all strange oddities they encountered for the first time both on train and after they disembarked for their stay in central eastern Florida.
