Lana has enough things to fight.
Both as a Marine and a Knight. Lana Lake accidentally gets on the bad side of a cruel witch and gets a man she doesn't know, killed. Now she finds herself shackled with the title of Knight because of some gaudy bracelet she can't take off. And then there is the PTSD from her time in the Marines. Throw in struggling to hold down a job and getting evicted from her apartment, and she's had enough. A stuffed shirt, named Merle, along with his housekeeper, are her only friends - for lack of a better word. One acts like a throwback to the 50's and the other parses out information in dribbles that don't help at all. And this is her introduction to the world of Elves, magic, and villainy. After getting attacked twice for no reason she can determine, she goes on high alert. She just wishes the world would leave her alone and giver her a minute of peace. Now, if only her training - new and old - can keep her from getting killed by a witch.
