Seeking Control: A Memoir Hope Jacobson

Through diary entries and detailed recollections of life before, during, and after "Ed" (a personification of her eating disorder) took over Hope's life, this memoir illustrates the impacts of the debilitating physical and mental illness that is Anorexia, particularly on an autistic woman with OCD. Hope's story shows the effects of the personified voices inside of one individual and how, sometimes, the characters created to feel in-control of one's life ironically cause powerlessness.
