One of the most influential and powerful figures in history is Jesus Christ. This fictional book, based on true and historic facts and testimony, recreates those 40 days through the eyes and impressions of John, a disciple and follower of Jesus. John was highly respected in the early years of Christianity. He authored one of the Gospels that detailed the life of Jesus. He also wrote three letters to early churches, as well as the apocalyptic work in scripture, The Book of the Revelations. John writes in the last of his Gospel, "And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which, if they were written in detail, I suppose that even the world itself would not contain the books that would be written."At the time of Jesus Christ's death, his followers were traumatically affected. Many had hoped that He was the promised Messiah, the Savior, the coming King of Israel, and the Chosen One. Upon His death, all hope was gone. John, an early disciple of Jesus, was an eyewitness for many miracles and healings, as well as many of the teaching venues where Jesus was said to "teach as one having authority." He was also one of the first to meet the resurrected Christ."40 Days Between", is a daily account of the interactions between Jesus and those who were encouraged with hope and optimism during his post-resurrection. There are eleven specific recorded appearances of Jesus listed in Holy Scripture. This book will narratively illustrate these appearances. However, this book will fictionally create additional appearances and encounters with those whose lives Jesus touched. This book will be an encouragement to those who struggle with the burdens of life. It will communicate hope, confidence, optimism and expectation. Its stories will remind the reader of a compassionate motivation to love God and to love their fellow man. Its relevance is to the pre-Christian, searching for hope. Its relevance is to the Christian, providing encouragement and motivation to "know Him and the power of His resurrection. Its relevance is to the post-Christian, renewing the inspiration of a Jesus who died and rose again. The thematic thread throughout the book will illustrate the power of the resurrection and principles of God's Kingdom: Loving God with all one's heart, loving others, hope, faith, serving others, giving to those in need, being moved with compassion, patience in suffering, sacrifice and other relevant themes.
