Predominantly, after modern science became the knowledge-hunting methodology from the 17th century onwards, man has managed to refine many misconceptions he had and has broadened his understanding at a faster rate. Yet, people generally do not follow scientific reasoning or rationalism to decide socio-political aspects or whatever else they may encounter in their surroundings. If people are guided to discern rationally, based on facts (direct, relevant reasons that are known to be true) and evidence (indirect, relevant reasons), this can help them reach maturity. They do this by leaving parochial attitudes behind in order to achieve consensus, human uniformity and finally, progression. This is the journey that this book is trying to take you on. Similarly, using the same rational base, what has gone wrong in Sri Lanka has been analysed to find a possible appropriate path. The experiences of other nations have been taken into consideration to try and find a way to move onto the correct track.
