Double Vision is a first-hand written account of the author's ideas on views of the world she has gotten to know and experiences she's encountered, joyful, and painful, in poetry. The pieces range from speaking of her family members and how she remembers them, to her experiences tripping through the stars on various psycho-active substances in her search for God. The book expresses deep admiration for over-all flawed characters and encourages readers to look within and love their most flawed self. It also expresses stories of times where the author had been in deep despair and to only rely on herself, because that's who is essentially going to save her. In one poem in particular, the opinion is conveyed that we live in a time right now where separation is the main antagonist against ourselves and to each other and that the only way we, as human beings in these perilous times, are going to survive through coming together and rid ourselves of our own personal ignorance. This book, through poetry, expresses that self-forgiveness is key in putting your life back together no matter how much everything has fallen apart.
