After a childhood of nightmares and parental abandonment, Angelica Acacia has learned how to pretend to be normal and hide her strange inhuman abilities from others. His last chance at preventing this foretold event is to seize an ancient book and kill Valor, the name given to the person the prophecy believes will trigger the upcoming apocalypse. To ensure winning, he enlists the help of sinister dark forces, only to learn too late that destroying the prophecy may also destroy all else that he has left in this world. Landing in an unfamiliar world of secret councils and ritualistic ceremonies, Angelica must unravel her past before it is too late to prevent a prophecy that will destroy the world as humans know it.
