The poetry and prose of Mr. Milton McCulloch is refreshing, thought provoking and insightful. As a woman, I read his words and wonder how he can know so well the inner thoughts of women. But as I reflect on his upbringing, I realize that he has existed in the female energy field since birth. He has allowed himself to become a stronger man by not being afraid to feel and express that connection.



Pieces such as, Eyes Have Not Seen, Suicide Spirit Shall Not Prevail, Calling me a Bitch, are anthems of empowerment. They resonate with women across cultures and around the world. We all know that when a person is really trying to stir up your anger or make you feel bad about who you are, the first word out of their mouth is to call you the "B" word. Milton, speaks to snuffing out the heat of that flame simply by looking at the source and giving it no power.



Cloaking sexuality in the Power of the Sheath, brought a smile to my face as I remembered, in agreement. I laughed out loud when I read Breathe. It reminded me of what my mother used to tell me when I was stressing about something that time would fix. Milton has managed to see the inward thoughts of women and put pen to paper with words to express many of those unspoken words and wishes. He expresses, with great passion, the determination, yet the sometimes, lonesome yearning of the soul, for victory, love, gratification, companionship... or just a touch.
