When it comes to domestic violence, silence is a woman?s worst choice. It leaves her vulnerable and exposed. She has no witnesses in the event of escalation. She has no one looking out for her to be sure she is okay. She has no one, and that puts her abuser in a position of power. "I Have a Voice!" is my encouragement to women to be their own best advocates and use their voice to protect themselves. Love shouldn't hurt. When it does, a woman should use every resource available to her to get herself into a safe environment with the support she needs to live her life in victory. One day I heard the voice of God, and I remembered that I had a voice, and it was time that it my voice be heard. I refused to live the same way any longer, caged by the fear of what would be. Walking out of that abusive relationship, speaking up about it, and standing up for myself ? facing my fears head-on without regard for the consequences ? set me free and gave me the strength that I needed to live my life God?s way ? whole, healthy, and loving myself. I have always had a voice, but for too long, it was silent. I have remembered that I have a voice ? ?CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW??
