Phyllis Waye Boone was born, reared, and spent nearly all her life in New Richmond, Indiana. During her lifetime, she saw many of the changes of a vibrant town going the way of too many small towns in America. She and her husband Albert Boone spent many long years interviewing residents and digging into old newspapers and legal records to piece together a history of a small town in central Indiana.



From the early first settlers before Indiana became a state to the filming of the movie Hoosiers, New Richmond, Indiana's story is revealed. Phyllis Boone's love of her hometown is evident in the culmination of her years of research.
