In 2005 Laurence founded Avagio Limited, a publishing company specialising in consumer and business magazines which were distributed regionally throughout the UK. Despite some very challenging times during the financial crisis of 2008 which saw the business close, the core brands themselves survived and are now owned by one of the UK's leading publishers: Northcliffe Media. (Local World since 2013) Laurence's story relating to this period is moving and very emotional as he explains the highs and lows associated with running a million pound business and then losing it.
