The Service of Women in the Church

Dr. K. Deddens (1924-2005) traces the history of the role of women in the midst of God's people from creation into the present time. Very often women became victims of their cultural context, also in the midst of God's people. This clearly shows that God's people failed to listen to God's Word and instead they allowed the prevailing culture to dictate their attitudes and practices both in Israel (in the Old Testament) and in the church after Pentecost.
