Rizz Murphy moves back to her hometown Lake Forest ten years after her family suddenly picked up and moved in order to escape a life altering incident that only lead her mother into a deeper drunken rage. Thom Downey has always been someone who felt deeply, and when the accident alters his life he finds himself unable to cope with the pain and grief. Lance had always been his best friend ever since they met in private school, but when Lance begins to act as if nothing is affecting him and as if the accident never happened it becomes too much for Thom to handle.
