Beginning on Miramar Beach, Florida, in May 2012 and ending in Maui, Hawaii, in July 2014, Twylla Alexander traveled the United States to walk labyrinths and visit the women who created them. Labyrinth Journeys: 50 States, 51 Stories crisscrosses the country, from a prairie labyrinth in North Dakota to an urban labyrinth in Baltimore, on to a labyrinth in the rainforest of southeast Alaska and a flower garden in Wisconsin. Along the way, women's stories speak to the labyrinth's power to calm and to inspire, to strengthen and to clarify-to be whatever the walker needs in her life.
