Ordinary Mystery

Kevin Wallace's first book, Ordinary Guy, tells the story of Brad Mitchell a man with an unusual gift who lives in the North Woods. Two sequels, Ordinary Vacation and Ordinary Redemption followed and, along with a number of relative songs and works of art, the three books make up The Ordinary Project. This book is a prequel to Ordinary Guy, although it certainly stands on it's own as a highly original mystery novel. As such, it's a wonderful introduction to the many eccentric, yet ordinary, characters who inhabit the North Woods. "The other books had dealt with the mysterious, but I wanted to thrust my characters into a real mystery. After all, my protagonist Brad Mitchell had the ability to communicate with the dead and what could be better than asking the dead who committed the crime and solving the mystery? I soon realized that going this route rarely got me past the first chapter, as it was all to easy that way. So then, I had to make it a little more difficult for my characters and a little more fun for the reader. This process led to the book that you now hold in your hands."-from the Author's Preface
