Max Harrison's father believed his son would grow up to be something great. Having spent much of their time together stargazing and winning science fairs, he decided Max, or "Max Million" as his friends called him, might just be an astronaut even if Max himself wasn't so sure. Years later and with his father's dream still in mind, Max, now an inventor and tech entrepreneur, joins the prestigious space and exploration program (SAEP) as they launch the Earth's first human expedition of Mars. Max is up for the task, abandoning his lavish lifestyle in exchange for the rigorous physical and mental challenges of the SAEP program. What he had not accounted for was the backstabbing, sabotage, and danger that awaited him even before leaving the Earth's atmosphere. What awaits him on Mars is more than he or his father could have ever imagined all those years ago mapping out the solar system.
