A new trio recording featuring alto/soprano saxophonist Francois Carrier, drummer Michel Lambert and bassist Jean-Jacques Avenel. Three long improvisations make up Within which was recorded live at the Cantos Music Foundation during the Calgary Jazz Festival in 2007. You can hear the conversation between these three great music improvisers that is filled with an intense, inquiring spirit, joy, wit and aplomb.
