After he got on a sparsely booked late-night train bound for Kent, widowed London doctor Lewis Shaler (Dougray Scott) thought that a flirtation with a fellow rider (Kara Tointon) was going to be the extent of the excitement. That unfortunately wasn't to be, as it dawned on all aboard they were in the hands of a suicidal engineer-and Shaler found himself leading a desperate effort to somehow get out alive.
