A small town detective, is confronted with a brutal murder that seems easily solved until a mistake in his investigation frees the main suspect, Lucas. That suspect comes under suspicion for a string of murders going back to his childhood, yet as the investigator digs for the truth, he finds that he is opening a Pandora's box of theft, child abuse and even more murders.

More bewildering to the detective than anything is the realization that this case has awakened old memories best forgotten. As he investigates the murders, he comes to realize that he may be as damaged as is his prime suspect.
