Normal. The lives of Lewis, Beverly, and Lawrence Little; along with their neighbor Valerie Walsh. That is, until the government wants to give everyone a challenge; the kind of challenge that happens when an atomic bomb explodes, the kind of challenge that happens when Lewis's parents get abducted, and the kind of challenge that happens when Lewis and Valerie need to join forces with a community and go to war with the people who abducted his parents. Lewis knows that in order to get his parents back, he will need to go to lengths that he never thought he would ever have to go to.
