Among the many factors that contribute to the deterioration of the working environment, noise and vibration have an important place. This code of practice, adopted at a meeting of experts convened by the ILO, sets out the principles that should be followed for the control of workplace noise and vibration, and contains the information required for the establishment of control programmes for individual plants.
