Aleksander "Alek" Jenowski is beginning his final semester at Wellington York University. A senior majoring in computer science, his graduation hinges upon the ability to create an advanced computer program.

Struggling for an idea, Alek applies the strategies his father once utilized in selecting winning horses at Arlington Park in Chicago. Together with his girlfriend, LaDonna Fletcher, Alek designs a racehorse program he affectionately christens Abacus.

To Alek's surprise, Abacus's predictions are almost 100% accurate. Now fame and fortune are within his reach, but will he destroy everything he loves in the process?
