The poems in "Unbind(ing)" are about how I found a way through. It is about the risk of radical self-love and radical hope for a re-imagining of the relationship between Catholicism and queerness. This book came to life from the umbilicus-deep knowledge that I am altogether beautiful, that God finds no flaw in me, that nothing separates me from being fully human and fully divine. I wrote this for you. I wrote it so you won't feel alone. I wrote it so you won't fear being both/and. You are marvelous. Truly. God beholds you and smiles. You, dear one, are beloved. This book is my offering of restlessness, liberation, and love as queer as a $3 bill.
