We all struggle with getting in our own way mentally. We doubt our self-worth by telling ourselves that we are flawed, not important, don't have anything to offer, and are unloved. It is these issues that are at the forefront of those seeking to self-harm or worse. Additionally, we struggle with guilt, shame, resentment, and unforgiveness, all of which are major roadblocks to discovering and living out who you were created to be. These are issues that I too struggle with, pose in this book with the hope of offering alternatives and tools to combat those thoughts that so often ensnare us. We were designed for so much more than we all ever realize, I included, and more times than not it is by simply not getting out of our own way, intellectually speaking.
