Two are spies protecting her from vengeful armed evangelicals and HUMANS FIRST! fanatics holding a grudge from the rural central Nevada town she left behind.

Another secretive alien species with a talent for weather and mind manipulation object to her writing a tell-all tome of their existence. Rowan must find a way to appease them, and avoid abduction, while she writes speeches for otherworldly candidates in the upcoming election.
