The book is based around the ancient city of Winchester and for some mysterious reason he manages to provoke the paranormal, hence the title of the book. His wife is totally oblivious to his many goings on until he carries out the brutal murder of a young prostitute. The book is a gripping read. It has everything family, love, hate, murder, deceit and the supernatural thrown in for good measure.
