Jay Martinez hails from Newark, NJ by way of Dayton, OH. A graduate of Wilberforce University, and Co-founder of the Metaphorically Speaking Collective. When Jay is not competing in slam competitions or performing on stage, he is hosting monthly showcases while conducting workshops and seminars. True to his rough upbringing, and love for hip hop culture, he culminates a unique style of recital that is quick pace, informative and gritty. Although, much of Jay's material deals with the social-political, Evolved Emotions takes us on a different journey. This book is about the many facets of love, erotica, and relationships. A touch on the pleasures of intimacy, uncontrollable attractions, and the raw essence of sexuality.
