Raffy and Mook are unlikely opposites thrown together as Stanford roommates. Raffy's a nerd and Mook's a jock, Raffy's an introvert and Mook's an extrovert, but anyway, no matter what, they both know they're straight. As their friendship bonds grow, Raffy starts noticing the outline of Mook's thighs and his lean swimmer's body, but he knows not to endanger his relationship with his roommate.

A summer research trip to the South Pacific puts Raffy and Mook in close quarters, away from prying eyes. Mook is coming into his own as an academic, while Raffy comes into his own as a man -- but when they return to Stanford, they're faced with the choice between going back to what they've known or forging a new life together.
