Everything Elementary is a handbook designed to empower parents to play a more active role in the education of their children. Learning is a process and each step in that process is essential to academic success. Is your child struggling as a reader? Is math or writing a challenge for your child? If so, it is likely your child is lacking in one or more of the basic skills needed for success. In order to help your child, you must first identify where in the process of learning he fell behind and then provide additional instruction and practice opportunities, all of which are included in this handbook. This kindergarten through fifth grade (K-5) skills inventory is presented in checklist format, by grade-level, and in the order in which the essential skills are taught. Parents as well as educators can use this resource, going as far back as kindergarten, to quickly and efficiently identify a child's knowledge of the essential skills of reading, writing, and math. Everything Elementary can also be used by parents to be certain their children have mastered the basic skills of reading, writing, and math and are on track and prepared for success in the upcoming school years.
