The following outlines have been compiled and designed for one and only one purpose, that is, to formulate a picture of the discourse that was communicated between the risen Christ and the two disciples on the road to Emmaus. These outlines are centered around the text, " ...and beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them, in all the scriptures, the things concerning himself, (Luke 24 ). What Christ said to the disciples about the revelation of Himself by the Old Testament prophets is what these outlines are all about and nothing else. No one knows for sure and with any certainty how Christ pictured Himself through the Old Testament prophets to the two disciples on the road to Emmaus. Did Christ consider their state of mind; their physical condition; their destination? It was with great care and great caution and lots of prayers that the following outlines have been submitted.
