Part One: Kyle McLain and his best friend Brett Douglass, like sneaking around and committing minor offenses. They also drink beer and smoke weed every chance they get, often obtained from Brett's elder cousin, Dennis Lowden. Things begin changing when Kyle meets Jessica "Jessie" Roy and a student at their high school dies. The biggest surprise comes to Kyle when Brett and his mother have plans to move away. It is not until after Brett and his mother abruptly leave that Kyle learns why they left. The aftermath is something Kyle never could have imagined. Part Two: When Brett and his mother return over a year later, Brett's father and cousin, Dennis are estranged from the family. Still, Kyle is overjoyed to see Brett. They meet with friends and make new ones. The promiscuous red head, Quincee "Ginger" Miller sends both of their hormones raging. Kyle soon learns that Brett is hiding something treacherous. The secret Brett is keeping could bring dreadful happenings to those closest to him.
